“As former students of the school, we really appreciate the chance to train at Highsted. It has been a fantastic experience in a supportive environment and we feel well-placed to begin our career in teaching."

Vacancies & Employment-based Teacher Training
At Highsted Grammar School we are proud to offer career opportunities for adults as well as students. In addition to teaching posts, there are a wide range of support posts which fall vacant from time to time. Information about all our current vacancies can be found below. If there are no opportunities that suit your ambitions at present, but you would like to be considered for suitable appointments in the future, we are happy to receive your CV, together with a short letter of application stating your experience and areas of interest.
Likewise, we recognise the importance of excellence in the training future teachers and, with more than a decade of exceptional experience in employment-based training programmes, are pleased to offer opportunities for postgraduate trainees. We work in collaboration with the Kemnal Academies Trust (TKAT) to provide both salaried and unsalaried positions which lead to Qualified Teacher Status. Salaried positions are paid on the Unqualified Teacher Pay Scale; unsalaried posts may be eligible for a government bursary, depending on the teaching subject and class of degree achieved.
